Election Day

This day has filled me with no small amount of dread.

On one hand, I am thrilled that we as Americans are finally staring the ugliness of our society’s identity in the mirror.

On the other hand, our country is no longer united. It’s been progressively dividing over the years and, in 2016, here we are. Our political process has devolved into a farce – the spirit of collaboration has soured and become brutish tailgating. My team v. your team.

I still hope and pray, for a sanity to prevail today, but my optimism is weathered and weak.

Vote today, my American peers, and whoever wins we must learn to fight for the rights of those who have none, before we lose our own.
